The Sandlot PC
This is a section is dedicated to my Sandlot Collection. It is one of my favorite segments of my PC. When I was growing up, my Nanny owned two sports movies: Remember The Titans (my brother's favorite), and you guessed it- The Sandlot, my all-time favorite movie. I collected it long before the 20th, or the 25th anniversary reunions of the cast made them popular again. I have all kinds of items- from a movie cutout used in theaters the year it debuted, to the autographed archives set, autographed baseballs- and even a script used in the movie! This movie is what I give credit to for my love of baseball.
Alan "Yeah-Yeah" McClennan
[Marty York]
Art "The Babe" La Fleur
Benjamin Franklin "Benny" Rodriguez
[Mike Vitar]
Bertram Weeks
[Grant Gelt]
Reason: My favorite movie EVER is The Sandlot, and even though Bertram got really into the 60s and no one has ever seen him again- but somehow he signed these autographs.
When I was growing up, my Nanny (who got me started in collecting) only had two movies. The Sandlot was one of them. I've seen it legit over a hundred times. |
David Mickey Evans
[Director]
Reason: My favorite movie EVER is The Sandlot, and David Mickey Evans is the creator and director of the movie. He inspired me to be a baseball fan, and ultimately work in the industry.
I actually have emailed back and forth, and tweeted back and forth with David Mickey Evans! He also signed a letter for me authenticating that my script was in fact from the movie! |
Bill
[Denis Leary]
Reason: My favorite movie EVER is The Sandlot, and Bill was the really the reason for my love of Babe Ruth. If his Dad hadn't given him that baseball, we wouldn't have had The Sandlot!

Reason: My favorite movie EVER is The Sandlot, and "The Great Hambino" is responsible for two of the most iconic phrases in baseball movie history: "You're killing me Smalls!" and "You play ball LIKE A GIRL!"
